Leslie Cohen Law PC is bringing back our 5k fundraiser for 2024. The race will take place on Sunday, October 20th, 2024 at 8 a.m. at Crescent Bay Park, just west of Main Street in beautiful Santa Monica.

Race proceeds will be donated to Public Counsel and the Public Counsel Debtor Assistance Project (DAP), which provides pro-bono law assistance to disadvantaged communities, as well as a bike and pedestrian safety organization. In addition to race registration proceeds, we are also accepting donations to support both organizations' work. We hope you'll join us for this year's event!

Virtual 310K
A virtual option race option is also available! For the virtual 5k, you can run or walk a 5k distance at your own chosen time, use a run-tracking app to record your time and distance, and submit your results at our registration link. Virtual race participants will also have the option to receive race shirts and medals.

Virtual participants will have a two-week window to complete and submit their virtual run—note that this will be the two-week period before the in-person event. The cutoff to submit virtual results is midnight PST on October 20th.

Leslie Cohen is an elite runner, owner of Leslie Cohen Law PC, founder and captain of Team LCL, and 13-year host of the 310k. A decorated distance athlete, she has won her age divisions in the Boston, London, Los Angeles and New York marathons. She has been interviewed for MAJORS magazine, AARP, and the Suite Run podcast.

While she enjoys the travel opportunities that elite running has afforded her, the 310k holds a special place in her heart because it brings together the community in Los Angeles, her hometown of nearly 50 years. She loves meeting members of the running community, so if you see her on race day, be sure to come say hello!

EVENT DIRECTOR
Gavin McKiernan of Mercury Events is an event director handling registration and event coordination for the 310k. He specializes in helping nonprofits create events that are fun, memorable and in line with company missions. You can follow Gavin on instagram @gavinica.

PRE-RACE PACKET PICK-UP​
Packet pick-up is an opportunity to check in and grab your race bib and shirt before the day of the event. It's also a great time to meet the race organizers and volunteers and ask any questions about the event. Come say hi! This year's packet pickup information is as follows:

SAME-DAY PACKET PICKUP & REGISTRATION

If you are unable to join us for packet pickup the day before the race, you can pick up your bib and shirt on race day morning. Depending on capacity, we'll also have a limited number of race-day signups available. Same-day pickup is from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Make sure to arrive early—the race will begin sharply at 8 a.m.
*Reminder: Please wear your bib on the front of your clothes so that your photos can be tagged correctly. Your bib also helps let race organizers and volunteers know know you are affiliated with the event.*

Beach parking is available in public lots, price TBD. Please bring cash, as beach lots often will not accept credit or debit.
Public transportation: This race is transit-accessible! Crescent Bay Park is located near many public transportation routes, including:

SHIRTS & MEDALS
The 310k is proud to offer all race participants an opportunity to receive a free high-quality race tech shirt with the 2024 race logo, complimentary with registration. Additional shirts will also be available for purchase on race day.
Finisher medals will be given to all participants upon completion of the race.

RACE COURSE
The 310k will consist of one out and back loop on beach path. Starting near Crescent Bay Park and continuing on Ocean Walk. After passing the Pier runners will join the beach path and follow to mile 1.55 just past North Beach Playground at the 1st Volleyball net. A U-Turn Sign will mark the turn around and runners will return on the same exact path they took out.
